This assignment will also help you gain confidence and facility in using research tools, a better understanding of disciplinary criteria, and a sense of how scholars use resources in their research. Project is worth 200 points. You are to create a “COVID-19 PANDEMIC Disaster Plan” (the Title, Abstract Page and Reference Page are not part of these pages). The project is to be in American Psychological Association (APA) format; see guidance examples in the level heading in the Weekly Module tab entitled, Course Resources for Writing in American Psychological Association (APA). Research Skills: The most common research skills assignment is the research paper, which helps students learn to synthesize, analyze and interpret information using appropriate disciplinary content and methodology. However, research papers may not help students learn the many intricacies of research that go into completing a good paper. Research skills assignments help you answer the following questions: What is a scholarly article? What is considered a primary resource? How can I thoroughly search the scholarly literature based on a topic? How do I evaluate a resource’s appropriateness for this assignment? What sort of information is most appropriate for answering my question? Requirements: To make this assignment as meaningful and interesting to you as possible, you will have considerable flexibility in choosing a topic and approach for this project, as long as it is somehow related to finance in the workplace. Components for the Finance Project: Create a COVID-19 disaster response plan for your company. The plan should be general enough so that it is applicable to a variety of disaster situation (Coronavis & COVID-19 or the newest strain Omarian). It should be as comprehensive as possible, so that it details how the company will handle issues like disruptions in operations, employee and family notifications, supplier/customer relationships, and working with government responders. The students may also want to consider how their company will respond to the physical and material needs of the larger community. Please consider conducting interviews with finance professionals regarding your topic using diagnostic interview questions to facilitate the process. (Use social media, news broadcasting clips, etc. since we are in social distancing mode of communication.) Formatting: Paper should be written to conform with APA guidelines when writing in paragraph or bullet form.
